WELCOME TO EXCEED

It has been a busy few months and we have packed the latest issue of Exceed with lots of news for you.

This edition contains an interview with inspirational podiatrist Hannah Beute who recently took a leap and opened her first premises.

After investing in innovative RUCK equipment and being inspired by the likes of podiatrist turned businesswoman Margaret Dabbs, she has transformed her business. We will watch her career with interest.

Elsewhere, we talk to James Pipe, First Team Physiotherapist at Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club about his work with players such as fast bowlers Stuart Broad and Jake Ball and batsman Alex Hales.

And continuing the sports theme, our Education page comes from physiotherapist Sammy Margo. She was English football’s first female chartered physiotherapist and talks about cramp in this issue.

Elsewhere we talk to Charlotte Vannet, a Senior Lecturer in Podiatry at the University of East London, and round up some of the good news stories from the UK’s leading podiatry schools. We’re keen to hear from more of you so do get in touch.

We also chat to Lloyd Washington who won the Algeos Technician of the Year at this year’s BAPO and ask him about his memories from 40 years in the industry.

And we are delighted to reveal the incredible work that Sophie de Oliveira Barata is doing in the field of prosthetics. Her work is truly remarkable.

Enjoy your Exceed!
